Alaskan Salmon Fishing

An Alaskan salmon fishing adventure at Silverking Lodge is an ideal vacation

When it comes to Alaskan salmon fishing excursions, nothing beats the service, rustic accommodations and outfitting of the Silverking Lodge, located 20 miles from Ketchikan on Grant Island. Only accessible by boat or float plane, pristine wilderness and deep blue waters surround the lodge, which specializes in self-guided fishing tours that give guests the freedom to navigate a boat within the protected waters surrounding the lodge. While staying at the Silverking, you can create your own adventure with just the right amount of guidance from our knowledgeable, experienced staff.

At Silverking, our goal is simple. We want to provide you with the very best Alaskan salmon fishing experience with the best accommodations and service at the greatest value. We provide each group of anglers a fully equipped, 14-foot Livingston boat with a 15-horsepower outboard motor as well as a 6’6” combination rod with a Penn 209 level wind reel. When you return to the lodge after your fishing adventure, our staff members will fillet, vacuum pack and freeze your catch for your flight home.

When not enjoying your Alaskan salmon fishing excursion, do not miss the chance to explore nearby Ketchikan. The fourth-largest city in Alaska, Ketchikan lies on the western shore of Revillagigedo Island, which is the size of Rhode Island and has 309 miles of coastline. Ketchikan boasts many galleries and holds art-themed festivals and special events throughout the year. While in Ketchikan, you can also visit worthwhile attractions such as the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center and Tongass Historical Museum. The Discovery Center displays contemporary totem poles, examples of native basketry and other crafts, and a traditional native fish camp exhibit. The Tongass Historical Museum preserves and interprets the history, art, and culture of Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska through permanent and temporary exhibits.
